Our Green & Healthy Pledge

  • We compost our kitchen waste - and since we use organic ingredients, we can use it to feed our garden.  Composting reduces the amount of waste going to landfills so think about it for your home, too!
  • We strive to use bio-friendly containers and packaging, and recycle what is not.
  • By committing to using as many organic ingredients as possible we are helping to support the better stewardship of our land and resources. We change the menu regularly and frequently to take advantage of what is available locally because we feel that local food is the most nutritious since it is the freshest. It’s also a commitment to the local economy and an “opting-out” of the industrial agricultural model which abuses our land, natural resources, animals and our health.
  • We specialize in vegetarian & vegan food because we believe it is better for the planet (and our personal spirits!).
  • The old adage is true - “garbage in,-garbage out”.  Our healthiest self begins with what we put into our bodies which is why we use whole foods in their most natural state. We strive to use organic grains and beans along with organic produce - which means less overall toxicity for our bodies. When we bake we use whole grain flours and nuts.  Our sweeteners are primarily organic maple syrup and fruits. We use coconut oil instead of butter in most of our baking and cooking as we believe it has healthful properties for us.
  • We reuse what we can, buy bio-friendly cleaning products and avoid waste and overuse of energy resources.
